Hi guys anyone tried the new hot pick tire Goodyear Eagle F1?.Alot of them saying that the tires are great and currently my car tyres are due for change.Currently my car running in Michelin Pilot Primacy. And I would say its a great set of tires. But price is on the upside but I am ok with it as it is has gd grip and gd life.its lasting on my car till now and my car has run about nearly 53000KM and the tires still do have tread .

So guys do let me know about your opinion about Goodyear Eagle F1 tires.

I used the F1 GSD3s on my previous ride. Really good tires! Good grip while conering and also performs under wet weather. Comfort is good and road noise is at an acceptable range. Just waiting for my stock tires to run iin a bit more before I change to the GSD3s.

Heard the Michelin Pilot is not that grippy. Might be wrong though.

*thumbs up* for Eagle F1s.

Coke honestly I think michelin pilot there R few models. And i would say primacy is gd.But i dont know about other models as 1 point of time they did have bad tires which wear unevenly.

So how much did u pay for those tires?.

Can't objectively say which is better cos 've never tried the Michelin ones. But very satisfied with the GSD3s that I used. How much ah? Hmmm...i've a friend that works for Goodyear so i got a very very very good price. Not nice to reveal here though.

These are the tyres of choice for my next change... :D

Feedback from past users have been good.
But heard downside is tyre noise and fast wear rate. I'm still gonna try them anyway!

I remember seeing 16" on offer at autobacs. I think $150 or something, can't really remember... ;)

No worries. Glad to be of any help. No they jsut carry goodyear tires. Distributor. Not sure about Michelin where to get. Ask ard in the other car forums?

My stocks are Michelins also...french mah...support their own, just like japs. Eventually I'll go back to Goodyear, just depends on when that alll. Done ard 5k on my C4 so kinda a waste to change tyres now...maybe when i hit >10k.

Get the Goodyears lor, think they are a good tyres. No regrets gettign them.

Not too sure about wear rate. But I've had friends who say it that they are due for changing after 30k or so...

Yup Peter the tire shop guy also told me that it will last around 30K to 40K and only michelin last near 50K long. But since there is no primacy than I think of getting the Germany made Eagle F1 priced @ $185 per piece.

What you think?

24-03-2006, 05:51 PM
Well, I'd personally prefer German rather than Thai rubbers... ::)

Adam
25-03-2006, 10:23 AM
Yea I agree with Peter I feel I would be more satisfied buying a German made Rubbers as they are much more durable.I feel that way.My car currently French made and I am satisfied with these rubbers.Basically I feel more satisfied with Europeans... ;D

take the thai
1) most worldwide rubber comes from temperate country, germany n japan take rubber from thailand also, u pay for the german labour only

2) huge price diff, save the $ and go for nice meal

3) no proof scientifically german last longer than thai :p
i doubt u drive the bugger till the steel threads show anyway for safety

4) german vs thai, the design still the same right

conclusion : get thai
