posting this on behalf of EuroVanClub (which i don't belong to, but came across this charity event through Volvo)
maybe some of the berlingo owners here are already aware of the event, sorry for cross-posting :-)
*************************************
Tulip Hearts Day is <http://www.ccf.org.sg/ > Children's Cancer Foundation's annual fund-raising Event to be held on 3rd September 2006.
In true <http://www.ccf.org.sg/thd/ > Tulip Hearts Day tradition, volunteers will be out in unity island wide, raising funds through the sales of more than 100,000 handmade tulips to create awareness of childhood cancer. To help raise further awareness among the public, and in the absence of major sponsors towards CCF, EuroVanClub will be organising our THD2006 Drive-Thru for the 3rd year running.
And in true <http://www.eurovanclub.com/ > EuroVanClub (EVC) tradition, we will be adopting the Event for the 5th consecutive year - in an attempt to reach out to more kind-hearted donors. The purpose of the Drive-Thru is to make it more accessible to reach out to donors in the driving community whom might be driving past on the Event day and to have a permanent location for drivers to make their donation. We will have volunteers stationed at Kallang car park for the sales of the tulips. Our road marshals will be there to provide assistance for donors.
Silk cocooned tulips will be sold at $2 each to help raise fund CCF. There will be approximately 14 colours to choose from. An exhibition area will also be set up inside Take 5 Kopitiam (behind Kallang Mac) to help raise awareness on childhood cancer, "Boy Girl" hand phone strap cum bookmark at $5 each will also be sold at the counter next to the exhibition area.
We sincerely hope like-minded people who wish to make this year's Event a more successful one then the last, can set aside an hour of your precious time on that Sunday to make a trip down to Kallang. Purchase the tulips from our volunteers, making it ours, and your day a truly fruitful and eventful day out of 365.
See you there!

thank you for your update, honestly quantity to me is not an issue. I started this charity event with EuroVanClub when we were formerly known as vwcadddyclub and i think i had 10 caddys doing the charity driving around islandwide to sell tulips. so i am pretty sure even at the end of the day, we have 3 of you.. thats perfectly fine.
of cos, with more people coming it will be a great event!

EVC, on behalf of CCF and the kids, would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone from the SG Citroen Club who had turned up to support the EVent in one way or another. Without your generous donation and participation, this EVent wouldn't be a success because life is more than just receiving.
We'll provide a link to the photos once they are ready
Here is our thread where thank you notes are posted by everyone and anyone :
http://www.eurovanclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5426&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15
The above is an official note.
On a personal basis, it was a great feeling to see so many of you guys turning up and supported our event. Being the initiator of mixing charity with an automotive club 5 years ago, this year I am pretty satisfied that the objective of creating awareness had reached another level that I will never have imagined when I kickstarted it. My sincere appreciation.
Just an update : We have an average count of 650 vehicles which means BHP Auto will donate S$2500 for hitting the 500 vehicles mark. As for the total sales of tulips, mini Tees and handphone strap we have yet to receive the figures. I will definitely fill you guys in when CCF inform us.
Thanks and best regards,
