it is supposed to be the real thing..... HANDCRAFTED ... or so their web site says....
will have to confirm when it is delivered.
That will be a long wait till mid Mar.

Yes. Uncured carbon fiber material is like cloth, weaved from strands of carbon. It has to be laid by hand onto a mould & sent to the oven for curing.

Cool! How is the performance after the mod?
I tried replacing the stock filter with Green Performance Filter and I get better top end but my torque at the low end suffered. Means I cannot chiong from traffic light but overtaking at expressway is better.

comments of the setup.
1) rather tight fit of the carbon fibre holder. one end hits the engine cover plastic and the other end hits the electrical connectors at the battery side. there is no way to put back the plastic cover over the battery ( see pic)
2) there is no real cold air intake, the front of the carbon fibre enclosure points to the back of the radiator area
3) nice induction sound, the roar seems to make the car go faster? hehe, cannot feel any significant inprovements. I havent tried wacking the car yet in manual mode changing gears at 6k rpm yet
4) chionging form traffic lites has never make me smile, the fist to second gear changes are always too jerky for my liking, esp wen on auto mode

Yes I agree. 1st to 2nd even on manual mode is pretty jerky. The automatic throttle control and gear change seems not to be very synchronised here. It seems like its releasing the accelerator before clutching in, resulting in a slight jerk due to engine brake ...

I agree too on the jerky gear change. For me, I try to upshift first, then release accelerator, when I feel the shift, accelerate again. Reason being our Senso Drive has some lag in bettween gear changes.

So far can manageable, but dun know if it will have bad effects on the gear box or not 8)

used it for abt 1/2 year with a few tweaks in between.

remarks:
1) no more battery cover, the limited space in the engine compartment did not allow it.
2) low end suffered , prob coz of the hot air in the engine bay
3) after 3k rpm, nice sond n no loss of breath till 5k+ rpm (fc drops)
4) did a sort of CAI to feed in cooler air from the front, low end better ( still slightly loss from stock) still nice growl but then loss in hi end where acceleration plateau at abt 5K rpm n no more pulling torque
5) before my 70K svc, will try revert back to stock, but damn, lost the tube that connects the airbox to the resonator ( any way to get a replacement?
