I'm pretty interested to c how the new picasso will be like :D
Just called Citroen Sg, the C4 Picasso's both the 5 and 7 doors one will def be here, prob late June. Cars shipping out in May apparently from France. ;)
As for pricing, they're not so sure, but prob high 80's, like the C5 I guess...
Can't wait to view these beautiful cars...wonder how it's like when driven though...

Hi Car2Car
Not sure if you saw my POLL on this forum. 5 out of 5 person wanted the 5-seater C4 Picasso instead of the 7-seater Grand Picasso.
If the 5-seater is really going to be end of the year, I will probably not wait for it and get something else (but not the 7-seater).
cheers!

beowulf,
this month's issue of 'l'automobile' magazine (the French monthly) has a 14-page feature on MPVs.
to sum up,
in terms of handling, braking and roadholding,
1st is the Renault Scenic, 2nd is the C4 Picasso, followed by the Opel Zafira, Kia Carens (present just-launched model), Mazda5, and Volkswagen Touran.
in terms of interior ambience, space, quality,
1st is the C4 Picasso, 2nd is the Scenic, followed by the Mazda5, the Touran, the Carens, and the Zafira.
in terms of fuel economy and running costs,
1st is the Scenic, followed by the Zafira, C4 Picasso, Touran, the Mazda5 and the Carens (all models tested were diesel).
overall verdict,
1st is the Scenic, followed by the C4 Picasso, the Mazda5, the Zafira, the Touran and the Carens.
the rankings did not make a distinction between the 5- and 7-seat versions.

Hi voyager,
thanks for the info. Will take a look at the Scenic. Have not considered Renault at all. Checked out the Touran previously but found it too van like.
From looks, i think the C4 Piccasso still more appealing then the Scenic.
Cheers

hi beowulf :-)
yes, i think i understand how you feel about the Touran. i simply can't imagine myself shelling out money for that 'car' :-P
personally, i think the C4 Picasso is worth waiting for, if your budget and time permits. i've seen both the 5- and 7-seaters at the Geneva show recently, and it really is true what so many overseas journalists say about the little 'surprise and delight' touches that you'll be able to discover in the cabin. the exterior design also makes more of a statement than the Scenic, at least, to my mind.
whichever way you choose, have many safe and enjoyable journeys :-)
very cool alloys, furry :-)

Hi,
Looks like the French cars are all on top. Any bias there? Being a French mag?

i agree that there is a strong possibility of bias :-)
but it's the most recent comparison-article of this class of vehicle that i could find :-)

hi guys,
i managed to get a copy of the brochure of the 5-seater and 7-seater C4 Picasso (UK spec), so just let me know if you'd like to have a look.
my free windows are only on weekdays during office hours, and i guess the lengkee area would be the most convenient, but i'll try my best to accomodate your respective schedules :-)
(by the way, for those of you who haven't met me, i'm not in sales, and i do not have any vested interest in Citroën sales or CnC sales performance, or in any of their related third-party agencies :-) )

good stuff :-)
i've been doing a bit of research and, as far as i can determine, the first units of the Grand C4 Picasso were delivered to UK buyers (ie, fellow RHD drivers) in early February.
that's less than a three-month time lag for the Singapore market :-)
as far as i can determine, it went on sale (LHD) on mainland Europe early January.
that bodes very well for the Singapore arrival date of the next C5 in mid-2008 :-)
as for the C4 Picasso (5-seater), it just went on sale in the UK. so, if CnC sticks to this kind of timeframe, the 5-seater will be in the docks in early to mid-July this year, so maybe in the showrooms in August? (just guessing, and very contingent upon how urgently CnC wishes to bring it in. because i honestly think the C4 Picasso (5-seater) would cannibalise sales of the C4 5-door hatch. although, i am also sure that their sales volume would go up with the C4 Picasso (5-seater), so to some extent this cannibalisation would be a worthwhile sacrifice.)
How's the write up abt the C4 Picasso in Top Gear?
http://www.topgear.com/drives/A7/AB/new/
here :-) (also, look at the 'road tests' tab near the top of that webpage)

Must say the 5 seater looks a tad more appealing. ::) although, I might just go for the 7 seater hehe...
Will cost abt 90k
Can't wait to see it here soon... :D
Was told the 5 seater coming end of the year... :'(
