The February 2012 issue of the French 'l'Automobile' magazine has the results of the reliability survey.

Results for cars in the C5 class (max score 20)

Mercedes C-class 17.5
Mazda6 16.5
BMW 3-series / Volkswagen Passat 16
Lexus IS / Skoda Superb 15.5
Audi A4 / Renault Latitude 15
Ford Mondeo / Peugeot 508 14.5
Citroën C5 14
Opel Insignia 13.5
Volvo S80 13
Alfa Romeo 159 13

I must honestly say, after 5 years of diving my 2004 C5 Exclusive (142 000km) it is without a doubt the most unreliable/troublesome vehicle that I ever owned.:bawling::bawling: :mad:

The trade in value is non existing, parts are mostly unavailable, and if you can get the part pricing is ridiculous, and worst off all the service from Citroen:( is absolutely pathetic.

Over the past 5 years the MTBF was roughly 2 months:eek:

I would never buy any Citroen product, nor advise anybody to even look at a Citroen, in South Africa at least.

Thank goodness I finally got rid of it last week, it can only get better:rolleyes:
