authentic unedited remark made between two guys who had just gotten out of a Camry (which they had parked next to my car; they did not know i was nearby)...

it happened to me again yesterday.

this time at McDonald's King Albert.

i was returning to my car, and was about to open the door when i noticed that the car beside me still had the driver inside, so i motioned for him to get out first, in case he wished to (i wanted to open my passenger door to put the takeaway food in).

he opened his door and the first thing he said was:

"what a beautiful car"

we then had a conversation for about ten minutes (food cold liao, but never mind :-P ) on Citroëns.

it turned out he was a retired teacher (he said 80 y/o) who used to teach at Chung Cheng High after the old Chinese schools got broken up during the Malayan Emergency.
