C4 ATF change

Hi All,

I just bought a 2nd hand C4 and am thinking of servicing it. The mileage is 112,000 km. What is the frequency of ATF change? I can't seem to find this info anywhere

Ideally every 20000 km

Thanks for the info SkyC4.

And can any workshop do this or is a Citroen specialist required?

Hello,

I think C&C recommendation is longer then 20k km. But I agree with you that 20k km service is good advice although it is not cheap but after doing it can actually feel the drive is smoother

Cheers

CnC recommend 30000 km but I feel 20000 km is better. Thomas and Partners can do for you at about $120-150. Original ATF.

I suggest you go to Antz automobile or Thomas and Partner only, and of cos CnC. CnC will be $220-250.

I don't suggest that you go to a non Citroen specialist to do it. They can mess up your box if not careful.

Another suggestion to save money. The Shell Helix Ultra 5w40 oil sold in giant and fair price is approved for use in your C4 (the oil specification code is PSA B71 2296). You will need 3.5L only (the jug has 4L). Normally no need to top up oil for 10000km unless if there is leakage somewhere. So save it as back up.

Agree totally. But I must add that if thread starter intent to do servicing at C&C, they will not allow him/her to bring his own engine oil.

Cheers
