first picture that i know of showing the new engine in the engine bay :-)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjoGgC6USMI the car tested is a C5 1.6 THP Tourer manual (with steel suspension). the quoted acceleration time to 100 km/h is 10.0 secs. by extrapolation using official figures from Citroen's publicity materials, my estimate of the acceleration time of a C5 1.6 THP 4-door auto would be 10.4 secs, which compares to 11.7 secs for the present C5 2.0 4-door auto, 10.2 secs for the 2006 C5 2.0 4-door auto, and 11.2 secs for the original first-gen C5 2.0 4-door auto.

hi manualisbetter,
i went to Citroen France's website and configured three C5. (a) C5 2.0 auto Confort (to Singapore-specification) costs 29100 Euro (b) C5 2.0 auto Exclusive (to Singapore-specification) costs 34000 Euro (b) C5 1.6 THP manual Exclusive (to a lower level of specification than present Singapore-specification 2.0 auto Exclusive) costs 31100 Euro (there is no option for the automatic gearbox at the moment, and the Exclusive comes with hydropneumatic suspension, which the C5 1.6 THP auto (when it arrives here in around Sept / Oct 2010) will have conventional steel suspension)

Hi voyager,
does the present c5 2.0 confort comes with the hydropneumatic or steel type suspension? based on the calculation, it isn't much cheaper for the auto box since the EGS already 31+.. but sep/oct is 2 long liao... i am hoping the car can be already collected in Jul'10 car industry is fast moving... offical agent should bring in fast to capture market share... well not my call ![]() Quote:

hi manualisbetter,
the present C5 2.0 Confort comes with hydropneumatic (in Singapore) :-) today as i was driving, i was thinking about this Sept / Oct timeframe i wrote in this thread. i really don't think it will be ready for delivery anytime before August. but i don't work for them so i don't really know for sure :-) this timeframe is based on independent deduction, not from any official source.
