hello hafizsteen,

welcome to our community :-)

(i may be wrong) but i think there is no special battery for our cars (i have asked AA to change my battery before)

what was needed (but i am not sure if it is still needed) was a special procedure.

i googled "citroen c4 grand picasso battery replacement" and there were a number of helpful hits right on the first page.

i am also not sure about the advantages of a second-hand battery.

i think best to stick with first-hand battery (i am happy to learn about the advantages of second-hand battery).

you could ask AA; for general servicing outside of C&C, many of the members in this community go to Thomas & Partner at AMK Autopoint.

he is very experienced at servicing CitroŽns.

The "start-stop" battery is known as AGM (adsorbed glass mat) battery. Depending on the Citroen model you drive, you may not need it. It's more expensive than a regular lead-acid battery. You may need it if you drive a model with the Eco start-stop function. Otherwise, no need.

indeed the "start / stop" battery is of higher spec due to frequent crank start during interval / eco mode.

Anyway after I replaced my batt after 1 year point, I adopted the habit of deactivate the eco mode after started my car. Partly to prolong the lift span of the batt also partly do not like the effect of engine cut in / out of during jam or stops.
