Default GTbyCITROEN concept car to start the 24 Hours of Nurburgring

CitroŽn's road towards becoming a player in the premium segment seems to be coming along nicely. For one example the compact DS line models appear to be sweet, inside and out. For another the GTbyCITROňN supercar concept is said to be going into production.

The GTbyCITROňN was first unpacked as a full scale model at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. Soon it will be going on a sight-seeing road trip to a few motoring events. The first will be the 24 Hours NŁrburgring race on May 23rd. There it will take a lap of honour and the spectators will be able to get up close and personal with it at the stand of CitroŽn partner Polyphony from May 20th.

Then on June 12th it will be in the company of other (real) supercars in the "Grande Parade des Pilotes" at the Le Mans 24 Hours. It will be taking part in a presentation by the 150 drivers who are part of the 50 teams that take part in the race.

Last but not least attendees of the Goodwood Festival of Speed (3 - 5 July) in the UK will get to see the GTbyCITROňN.

The featured concept had LED lights, 21-inch wheels, wide wheel arches and gullwing doors. Rumours are that it will get V8 power from either Ford or General Motors.
