Oh yes. My mistake. 3 years is servicing.

Ya, hope they fix it soon. I read online abt this relay fault. Seems to be the most probable case.

Will update soon

Fan control unit is busted...

Apparently, after engine is off, the fan still keep spinning and sucking battery life.

They changed the unit and provided a new battery.

The mechanic couldnt explain the reason for the fault. Sigh.

Guys, since we on the current topic...

You guys experience "Knocking" sounds coming from your engine?

I think it's the gears making the sound, it is like the gears are not able to change properly and got stuck thus the knocking. It only happens when the car is changing from 2nd to 1st.

Sometimes it gets really bad with continuous knocking especially from 2nd gear to 1st gear but once it changes gear, the sound is gone.

Is it normal for this car??? I driven a number of cars before and driven an old car with a automated single clutch manual but no such problems (though there is this 'jerkiness' and its due to its single clutch)

hello Spiritseye,

i did not experience continuous knocking.

i do not think it would be normal behaviour of the transmission.

Hi Voyager,

Thanks for the reply.

So the cactus you are driving now doesn't make a single sound when engaging / changing gears? I don't remember the cactus i test drove made such noises (Even on the minimal level) on the different speeds i drove in, else i wouldn't even have bought this car in the first place...

I will have to go down to CnC to make noise about it, if they tell me that it is normal.

Hi bro,

Bro Voyager is not driving a cactus, he is driving another citroen model now. I test drive the cactus about 2 month ago, did not notice this sound that you describe too.

If the service consultant tell you it is normal, you should suggest to him/her to go for a short test drive using their test drive cactus car so that it will be easier for him/her to compare and see whether there are indeed difference or not.

All the best

Good suggestion bro.

I really like the cactus, its a nice car but the problematic gearbox i have in mine really kills the experience...

Hope they can resolve it.
