Btw i emailed powerflex. They do not have the full set of poly bushes for our car. They told me those listed on the site are wrong. They only have the bushes for the front lower arm. FYI for all.

Hi guys.

Thought i would post an update. Replaced my front struts and lower arm bushes. Job was done by Micheal. He also helped me to check all other front suspension bushes and were all ok. Drove the car around for a week feeling great but yesterday after the rain was driving and heard the dreaded squeak of the front suspension while going over bumps.

What else should i be looking at? Am i missing something?

Read in foreign forums that the squek is due to moisture and hard to avoid!

Yes bro. Definitely due to moisture. Only on raining days got the sqeak. Dry weather super silent. I may try to lub the bushes and see if it helps. Will update you guys. Any other bros have this issue on their C5?

U need to replace the double wishbone bushings as well.
Moisture and particles get in there.

Agreed. Came across a small workshop specialised in Cittoen-Peugeot in Tmn Johor Jaya, was told to eliminate the squeky sound other than lower arm bushing must be in good condition, need to replace item 11 & 13 upper arm bushing cos Citroen Peugeot car always has the bushing issue as it aged. Unfortunately, to replace these bushing the absorber needs to remove all together. and like bro Dave, my absorber bushing also kaput....though no leak..

Thanks for the info bro. Micheal did check those bushings and was told they are ok. Maybe they have hardened over time. I tried spraying some lubricant on those bushing over the weekend. Will see if it helps.

Recently also found out that some people had luck with spraying their bushes that are not worn but hardened with AT 205 Reseal. This is a rubber and o-ring rejuvenation fluid used in gearbox and engines but some people had success with spraying it on all the rubber bushes in the suspension. It apparently permeates the rubber and makes it soft and malleable again hence eliminating squeaks. Can try that also. As long as the squeak goes away. It drives me crazy when it rains.
