Default Engine fault with code p1340

This morning when I started my c4gp, just after a whil it pop up alert with engine light is on, and car seems a bit vibrating, then I stopped sand start the engine again, the vibrating seems gone, but the engine light still on, I use OBD II driver check and get fault code P1340, search the internet, there could be below causes:

- Faulty Camshaft Position Sensor
- Camshaft Position Sensor harness is open or shorted
- Camshaft Position Sensor circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty starter motor
- Starting system circuit
- Dead (Weak) battery

I plan to send to workshop to check, before that, anyone experienced the fault before?

Btw, now I drive the car seems normal except the engine light is on.

First, make sure the battery is working well and electrical supply is ok. The other problems could just be follow-on symptoms of a bad battery. As a rule of thumb, if your battery is older than 18 months, there is a high chance it's a bad battery. A proper diagnosis of the battery is needed.

P1340 happened on me once. Turned out to be a faulty ignition coil.

Sorry for late update.

Firstly I checked the battery seems no issue, it's less than one year.

Went to two workshops, and seems different result, one say is high pressure pump issue, another say might be cylinder injector fault, can change o2 sensor first.

But so far the alert not come back again, not sure which one is the root cause and how serious it is.

Maybe can try cleaning the camshaft position sensor? and give the wires a firm push? The sensor should be located at top inner (towards firewall) right side of engine cover, easily accessible. Cheap replacement BTW.

In my experience, This sensor can cause many problem, poor start, stalling, sudden engine cutoff while cruising etc..
