• B7 : C4
• B78: C4 Picasso, Grand Picasso
• T9 : 308
• E3 : C4 Cactus
• W2: 508 II

According to other forum, this is a service release to address the issue when SMEG+ is muted before making a phone call, the sound is unmuted after the call is finished.
It introduces a new installation phase where the User Guide is also updated.

The update runs through six phases as opposed to five phases for earlier releases.

Time consumption: about 13 minutes.
Thanks for sharing this useful article.

Does the upgrade affect the Navigation maps thats already installed on the SMEGs? Anyone who has tried it could share the experience?

i am lookin to do the upgrade on a 508 II but am hesitating due to the above...

Also wonder if i did the upgrade, if it affects the warranty as well...

hello jleo :-)

i have been using the upgrade, and it does not upgrade the map (that one is a separate upgrade to which we currently have no access outside our dealership)

i have experienced no crashes.

i do not know about the warranty - i guess it depends on your relationship with your dealership. since it is messing with (what a cynical party might construe as) the deep guts of a key element of the car's overall operating system, it might well be used as a bogey.

Hi Voyager,

Thanks for the response.

In that case, where it doesn't wipe the navigation maps, i'm more assured to try that.

Yes, i do agree on that assessment too. As long as it doesnt boot up w a Citroen logo on a Pug, i prob still have a chance.

The update will auto-detect the car & model based on VIN, so cross fingers that you should get Pug logo once update completed

Did the upgrade just now based on the guide.

A simple 15min procedure with it auto detected and started to update once the thumbdrive was inserted in.

So far so good. No noticable differences felt. At least it is still a Pug on the boot up. LOL.

Thanks for the guidance.
