Suggest not to use thick oil. The time taken to pump oil to ancillary equipment, such your your turbo located high up, is going to take longer.

As for low SAP, it is needed unless your CAT is punched thru'. If not, the cost to replace it is WOW!

THP prefers its oil to conform to PSA B71 2290 or better still 2312. They are not so common as compared to ACEA Cx oil locally. Why this specs? PSA says they preserve the longevity of the engine and it's components.

Most importantly, please check oil, water and tyre pressure every morning. Oil check using dip stick please. Thp engine drinks oil... can be at an amazing rate too.

Not sure the last owner use what oil but will change back to 5w30 when it reach 7k base in last change oil date

Yes, labour usually $50 incl oil filter.

$30 more then when I change oil for my Stream and Camry. I used to buy Giant Shell engine oil at $40. Ha ha

Hopefully can make use of this service to build rapport with Thomas

Yeah! SAF first parade is good! I strongly support that, especially for the thp with high mileage and/or after 7years.

Do a major servicing if possible. You dunno what the previous owner didn't do, especially when you see 3rd party servicing stickers on your windscreen (or no sticker at all).
