C1 Mod

Greeting..
Have anyone thought of how to do some mod for their C1 especially exterior like bodykit or stickers or exhaust system..

Starting a new topic to try to make C1 more sporty or eye catching.

So far in the process of audio mod only.. (putting a spoiler which I still don't how it look from citroen next week)

Re: C1 Mod

blackviper76,

see whether CitroŽn's UK website has anything on such mods / kits. maybe got.

also, you can use google, but make sure that the kits are suitable for RHD (right-hand-drive), because continental Europe is left-hand-drive.

You can find a red pug 107 which might just be the same spoiler as yours. Our C1 is already very eye catchy already isnt it? :D

Re: C1 Mod

i will put my money on a good rims and tires.

And fyi C1 bumpers are covered with a film which protect the car paint from pebbles knocks and scratches. Not sure what brand they use but is similar to this brand called Ventureshield, also available here in sg. I was at the Imports Night show and I think they charging $750 to film the whole car including both front and back bumper, bonnet, fenders and side mirrors. Headlamps at a promo price of $80...

I'm still thinking wana do the headlamps or not. 8)

Hi..

As for the spoiler i had to wait until next week then can confirm ::)

Re: C1 Mod

hi voyager, do u think doing cold air intake will void the warranty? i notice our C1 is taking in hot air instead of cooler air elsewhere under the bonnet.

hi geylang,

erm... i am not the right person to ask about mods and warranty-voiding :-)

i know about standard-fit mechanical stuff (but not trouble-shooting / modding).

see if others answer the question, if not, pose it again :-)

thank you for reminding me that kits for the 107 would also apply to the C1 :-)

Re: C1 Mod

u can redirect to somewhere colder, like inside front bumper, best not to cut and suck direct from bumper

Re: C1 Mod

im thinking.. should i put in a voltage stabilizer or do the CAI.

Any bro here tried the Pivot voltage stabilizer with 6 points grounding? I have heard good reviews and bad reviews. Still contemplating to spend the $100+ on it.

shuuji1985 12-11-2007 07:22 PM

Re: C1 Mod

what does voltage stabilizer do anyway? does it really help?
was thinking of changing the exhaust muffler..think remus carries our model..

Re: C1 Mod

i just changed my tail pipe at fong kim. Remus one have to go for inspection again right i suppose?

Re: C1 Mod

Greeting..
Is there a legal muffler for C1?

How much??

geylang 13-11-2007 09:24 PM

Re: C1 Mod

not that i know of. unless shuuji got lobang. even if have, once installed need to go for LTA test. must pay ourself and no guarantee can pass. but i personally feel the C1 already produce quite sporty bassy sound already. The only sound that i dont like is the whining sound from the engine.

Today I saw a red C1 at the service ctr with spoiler. And a white one also. Very nice :D

Re: C1 Mod

I can't wait to get back my C1 wih spoiler...
hee hee hee

I am thinking to install the door warning switch in other passenger doors.
I am not sure anyone can help? Where? How much?

geylang 13-11-2007 11:45 PM

Re: C1 Mod

is the red one urs that i saw? maybe?

i think those accessories shop should be able to do it. But I recommend not to touch too much of the wiring system in case it affect the speedometer / rev meter side. my friend installed a 2-way alarm and the speedometer screw up in less than a month, many workshop also duno what happen until Cycle takes few days to check is caused by the alarm.

Re: C1 Mod

Sorry mine is white..
As for the switches, I will try to research more..

i think u saw my C1..red with white rims? ;D
i saw a white 1 today at the service centre, looks great.

anyway, i've checked that remus does carry a muffler for our car..and according to the remus distributer,
its LTA friendly..the only thing is..after trading in ur old muffler for round $120, it will still set u back around $700.

any takers? ;D

BlackViper76 15-11-2007 08:18 PM

Re: C1 Mod

Is it a straight through or semi-flow..

$700 need to think a bit longer (hee hee hee)..

geylang 15-11-2007 11:15 PM

Re: C1 Mod

wow.i think thats not within my budget. let me know if u have installed it leh. i wana see see and be tempted. ;)

i will be going ahead with additional grounding though...less than $68. ::)

BlackViper76 17-11-2007 08:39 PM

Re: C1 Mod

After a week.. My C1 is finally back from the service center.
The spoiler is very nice..
The arm rest is just nice in between 2 seat so whenever u need to pull hand brake, the armrest need to lift up. As for me changing the gear just a tiny bit extra difficult but can be done.. (a bit more practise and getting used to it)

Anyone tried to sound clad their C1? The engine sounds a little too loud for my wife's liking... :)

geylang 26-11-2007 10:54 AM

Re: C1 Mod

have not tried..but intend to also :) did u have any quotes? my ride should be louder than urs, after up size the rims and low profile tires. :P

Furry 26-11-2007 11:03 AM

Re: C1 Mod

sound clad is only undercoating

i did for my c4

pros : eliminate quite a lot of road noise
cons : suggest u leave the car there for a few days after doing, as if the undercoat is not dried will end up sticking lot of stones

Re: C1 Mod

as much as it helps, better be careful when u do

I think I remember seeing a blue C1 along Ngee Ann toward Plaza Sing.....it was about 9pm i think....

So far I have seen so many C1s on the road and so few 107....maybe I should join the C1 group.....

I must say, I love my ride.....hope to meet the rest....

Yeah thats me out for the Christmas lights. Actually there is a yellow 107 in my neighbourhood, and I've seen a blue 107 out on the roads too :) So i've seen more 107s than C1s in my area.

Hi Guys i was thinking of adding more power and attractive look to the already attractive C1. LOLx
Was thinking about the do's and dont's.. (Like warranty void or unapproved by LTA, etc)

What can add more power to to the 1L engine?

Can change to those double exhaust pipes?

Can change the headlights to those 'white ones'? (Where can we change the light?)

Thanks in advance. :D
