Thats interesting. I wasn't asked to do that during my 10K servicing. Could they have discovered something new?

I was also advised to do the carbon cleaning when I brought in my C5 for 20k servicing in Sep. The drive has been slightly smoother since.

They did offer me the option of carbon clearing. But left the decision to me. I did not take it up.

Best form of carbon cleaning is a drive up NS Highway to Malacca and back! It'll cost you about the same $$, but most of the money will be spent on shopping and makan ; rather than for CnC's pockets! Haha...

I just came back from malacca trip, not a single Citroen spotted.
Our cars are quite flashy across the causeway, esp to those Peroduas.
Engine felt the same after the 500km trip, top speed only 145kmh, too much rain and traffic over the weekend.

Bro, that's carbon clearing, not cleaning... Technically different.

Just did my 10K servicing a month back and was also offered the carbon cleaning. After the servicing, there was noticeable difference in the performance of the car, in that engine sounds smoother. But after one month, engine is not as smooth as just after servicing....maybe because most of my trips are all short trips within Singapore.
