Any brand is ok.

Solely use in Sgp and no Msia use at all.

Any probs with engine pinging?

Using SPC 95 almost always. How do I tell if there's pinging? Sounds like it's ok so far

answering your q, i do believe there should be quite a vast number of folks who are on cit/pug on this engine and who pump 95/98 purely in sg
but depollution fault still happens randomly, due to egr/carbon build up...etc

vokolyn: actually i do not know or sense any pinging/knocking on my engine. the car will prompt error if any. however in my case, the car did not display any error and the turbo was disable/inactive.

dtech: c&c suspects its the petrol i am using esso 95 in sg and jb 97, they recommend me to use sg 98 to see if it my problem goes away.

as what i mentioned many times before, ideally sg 98 only, 95 may have power loss depend on heng sway

even sometimes i pump 95 just a little, power loss till i topup 1 tank or 2 of 98 back

I pump esso 95 all the time. no Mal petrol at all. however, car is coming one year old.

Esso 98 all the way. Engine fault twice after 40k servicing. Same goes for my colleague... Not sure y though

mileage abt 13000km. it feels the same since day 1.

I am planning to pump esso 98 soon and feel whether there is an improvement in the drive.
