Btw i emailed powerflex. They do not have the full set of poly bushes for our car. They told me those listed on the site are wrong. They only have the bushes for the front lower arm. FYI for all.

Hi guys.
Thought i would post an update. Replaced my front struts and lower arm bushes. Job was done by Micheal. He also helped me to check all other front suspension bushes and were all ok. Drove the car around for a week feeling great but yesterday after the rain was driving and heard the dreaded squeak of the front suspension while going over bumps. ![]() What else should i be looking at? Am i missing something? |

Yes bro. Definitely due to moisture. Only on raining days got the sqeak. Dry weather super silent. I may try to lub the bushes and see if it helps. Will update you guys. Any other bros have this issue on their C5?

Recently also found out that some people had luck with spraying their bushes that are not worn but hardened with AT 205 Reseal. This is a rubber and o-ring rejuvenation fluid used in gearbox and engines but some people had success with spraying it on all the rubber bushes in the suspension. It apparently permeates the rubber and makes it soft and malleable again hence eliminating squeaks. Can try that also. As long as the squeak goes away. It drives me crazy when it rains. ![]() ![]() Dave |
