Yes, I tried to center it, however if the unit is placed at the center, i feel a bit strange. Not so used to it. The good thing is you can adjust the angle of the cam. If you really want to place the cam at the center, you can buy an extension cable and holder from garmin.

The will post the video quality later. Overall very happy with it.

No, it won't. The angle can be justed.

But wouldn't that mean you won't be able to capture anything from your 12 to 3 o'clock?

Sorry for the question; was comtemplating to get this since the last IT Show, and my GPS is mounted at exactly where yours is.

Yes, that is the downside for installing the GPS at that position, however, you can purchased an extension cable with mount for the camera from Garmin.

I had bought the DOD GS600... Its has everything you need... GPS... and even car speed... something useful when there is an arguement... cost around $340... and will be asking my neighbour to conceal the wiring for me... He's into car audio...

how is the suction cap ? does it drop under the hot sun ?
