Default Clutch judder

Hello Seniors,

Anyone experienced clutch judder when on low gear change (gear 1 change to 2, or 2 to 3) or reverse?

I asked CC, they quoted about 1K to 2K to get it diagnosed and repaired... And this isn't under warranty?

What can I do now?

I just got this car for 5 days! It's a 2nd hand with 40k mileage and 2 years old only. Scary, leh..

I'm concurrently checking with the car dealer to see what they say. They claim they are unaware about this issue (but CC servicing record from previous owner has this job remarked as pending client decision). And that they will only cover what CC warranty will cover... Nonsense, right?

Thanks for digging out the thread for me... Seems like I should monitor first and decide when it feels worse eventually.

The problem I have now is, I just took over this car for a few days. Shouldn't this be the responsibility of the 2nd hand car dealer, to ensure the car is delivered problem free. Does lemon law apply here?

The dealer's stand is they will only cover what CC warranty covers, which to me is nonsense. If they deliver a car with super worn off brake pads or engine mountings, am I supposed to accept them and change at my own cost? Not within a week of taking over, right?

I'm considering seeking legal advice from the authorities.

you can try checking with CASE about this issue. Lemon law might be applicable here also.

Hi Eleven,

Just a couple of months ago, I replaced the clutch kit for my C4 EHDI ETG.
The symptoms I observed:
1) The vehicle judder when moving off from stationary.
2) There seems to be a loss in power delivery.

Brought my ride in to C&C, replaced the clutch kit and that solved the problems.
Damage to wallet: 1.7K

Hope this helps.

Hi STC,

Your juddering is always happen when moving off, or intermittent?

Mine is intermittent, and sometimes when I press accelerator too much. Happens more often when transition from gear 2 to 3.
