dragonkk,

if it was light green and it did not happen within the past week or so, i think it might have been a C3.

im back from my 1k checking today. Hopefully my C1 leaking problem will be solved once and for all.

One thing not solved. Told them to check my brakes pad giving the squeeking noise, but still have. Wonder if i go to thomas can change to a better one without sqeeking?

Other than all these issues, its a great car to drive. Great choice dragon.

geylang,

i'm glad the servicing went smoothly.

i'm not an expert on brake-squeaking, so i'm just kay-pohing for the benefit of the others - hopefully they can help you diagnose.

can you reproduce the squeaking at will, or is it intermittent?

1) depend on compound used
2) if dirt is trap b/w pad and disc causing squeal
3) dont wash at car wash after driving all day, wanna wash , do it first thing when drive off, and avoid hard braking for 10mins after that

thanks furry and voyager,

yes the sound will always reproduce when i brake at low speed (1st or 2nd Gear). I will try Furry's suggestion and see how it goes.

Found some info from the net:

" Brake squeal is caused by vibration between the brake pads, rotors, and calipers. Having the brake rotors refinished or trued (machining a small layer of the metal away from the brake rotor to make it smooth and "true" again) and a thin layer of a silicone compound placed on the back of the brake pads are a great way to reduce the squeal if the semi-metallic pads are the culprit of the noise and not due to a worn out brake pad."
