Any bros here tried ECU tuning for their C5? Came across this merchant in mycarforum, not sure whether it is as promised.

Be very careful if you have an ECU remap. The ECU can not be carried out via the on board port as the ECU has been locked by Citroen. The ECU must be removed and then split as it's in a sealed alloy case. Any changes to the map can only be done after six wires are soldered to the ECU so a lot of skill is required. When the map file is then downloaded to a laptop it can then be altered before uploading back onto the ECU. Insist a copy of the original file is kept so that it can be replaced if things don't work as you expected.

Default Race chip

Anybody heard of race chip from Germany ? It seems the piggy back CPU don't alter the original settings but does a parallel tune up so it does need to save the cpu setting just in case , voyager any views on this ?

Hmm...check out your insurance policies disclaimer first especially if you buy those cheaper comprehensive coverage direct from online.

Other than stock, any modification that is not approved by LTA may risk not have your beloved car being covered during an accident.

I don't believe in piggy back or tuning. It may compromise on its durability and/or shorten your engine lifespan. I will prefer to save up for a more powerful car.

Check first. Read up more ok. ‹

Try Eurosports Performance Tuning, they can do C5 even though they are VAG specialist.
