Ok folks, on popular demand, we'll really do this Xmas Convoy. Before I leave for my well-deserved family vacation this weekend, let me quickly start this ball rolling.
Programme is as such. 1. Gather at C&C Leng Kee. We need voyager to coordinate with C&C for the gathering location. Maybe at 3rd floor, where there are less cars. 2. We set off towards Orchard Rd via Tanglin Rd. 3. Once at the end of Orchard Rd, those who prefer to peel off can do so. Those who wish to continue, will drive down Bras Basah Rd, and Raffles Boulevard, before we gather at Flyer carpark. 4. We'll have dinner at Singapore Food Trail. Now the date. I'll only be back on 14 Dec, so that's the earliest I can do this. If you so prefer, please feel free to do it earlier. I think there may be less traffic the earlier you do this, but if you prefer my company, we can do this on either the Thurs or Sat after I'm back. On the choices between Thurs and Sat... We should see less traffic on Thurs night. But since we have to gather late to cater for people to arrive at Leng Kee, we will finish off late; and so, dinner will be very late. If on Sat, obviously, there will be more traffic, and it'll close to impossible to keep all cars in a straight convoy. And there's possibly no lots at Flyer on a Sat evening. But at least we can gather earlier. So, let's garner some votes. Majority wins. The poll will close on 4 Dec (1 week from now).

The timings work like this.
On Thurs evenings, we gather at C&C LK at 7.30pm. We'll give a buffer of 30min for all to arrive, and we'll set course at 8pm. We should reach the Flyer in 30min, and after parking, we should be at the tables by 8.45 to 9.00pm. On Sat evenings, we gather at C&C LK at 6.15pm. We'll give a buffer of 30min for all to arrive, and we'll set course at 6.45pm (should be dark enough by then). We should reach the Flyer in 45min (heavier traffic), and after parking, we should be at the tables by 7.45pm.

One last thing to whet your appetite.
After this gathering, we can discuss the possibility of a long distance trip sometime in the Mar holiday weekend.

this may or may not be a consideration, but i'll just mention it :-)
(please feel free to ignore it if it isn't a consideration :-) ) the DS4 may be ready for _static_ preview sometime around that period (it's not fair at this stage to hold CnC to a specific date) if this is indeed a consideration, then, the later dates that nextreal has proposed would seem to suit better. if not, then we could always have yet another thing for the DS4 preview :-) sorry my post is so vague - i'll update once more details are available :-)

I have a wedding dinner to attend on 17 Dec, so I will vote for 15 Dec.
I am not sure how convenient will it be for you guys, but can I suggest we move out at 7.30pm sharp instead of 8pm? That way we can start dinner earlier. ![]() But of course if any of us can't make it earlier, we can always stick with 7.30pm. Just a suggestion.
